pointless posts and trolls

** May i advise people that we now have myself as an Abuse Controller who can be contacted in private if someone has a concern about any aspect of the board, or a grievance against any other member.

Whatever the concern and evidence, posts like this only serve to cause arguements and often detract from the money saving ethos of the website. Due to recent events, we are looking to nullify potentially inflammatory situations more than ever.

I would ask that all thoughts of this nature be sent to myself, and not aired on the boards.

I don't know what they can do, perhaps is you are a new user, your posts can be moderated until you have been a certain level of posts or you have been a member for x number or months. Or perhaps you can't post until you've been a member for x-number of months.

Fragster,I find the singling out of a poster in this way offensive and as such have reported your post ,you can have a vent on this subject without copying a members posts in this way and making it obvious it is them you are complaining about .

I think a fair point is made here none the less.

been vieweing the site for a year now, and have found its usefullness rapidly depreciating. I've now noticed a few sites poping up offering the type of info this site used to specialize in.

I rasied a CR on the Vent board about 'people that post to say "thanks for this" ' and was sent to Coventry. (but took some time to clarify my point)

Naming the person may be a bit OTT as it may not have realized there were bothering folks.

each to their own, the person in question decided to post illegal advice on this board as well as waste people's time, i hope you will get over it traf, I did indeed single out one person, was the best example at the time. I find people posting rubbish and wasting my time offensive. perhaps no-one should post anything on this board, i'm pretty sure you've just singled out me... ::)

sorry for my first post, i still feel it had it's point but i didn't make this in the most constructive way i guess. sometimes my need to vent just goes into overdrive and i end up offending people, apologies to all the people that i offended that make useful posts, anyone that has posted in this thread so far

Well done fragster, it takes a brave heart to make a public apology, and i for one commend you and accept. ;D

I can understand your frustration but as you've recognised there is different ways of going about airing your greivences. I am sure there are times when i may have caused offence in a post. But it has never been intended and i've never wanted it to be taken in such a way. We can all make mistakes. :-[
