Usb Power Surge

Hi, im getting a power surge through my usb ports and its blowing my usb modem (ive been through 3) are there any usb power surge adaptors or something similar i can put between my usb port and Modem to stop this happening.

hmmm are you sure that its your usb ports surging never heard that before? you sure its not following storms that your modems break? i suppose if you are confident it usb power surge you could buy an externally supllied usb hub that may work?

Have to agree with NellyLock on are you sure its your usb port surging....I've had a few modems die on me, ok they have been isa or pci (internal) but this has occured after storms.
Have you a surge protection unit which covers your telephone line as well as your plugs? if not its defo worth getting one.Welcome, rogerramjet.
