Hi all,
Have been lurking rather than posting for the last few weeks due to school holidays and I trod on my new keyboard and broke it so it was too laborious to use the on screen keyboard. (got this one today at a carbookt for £1.00).

Anyway after 3 years at home with pregnancy and then major Post-natal depression I have finally taken the plunge and go back to work tomorrow:eek: .

It's only very limited part-time for now until I get used to it and then I may return full time. Thats if I can fit it in with oall this old styling.

So wish me luck please and tell me I am doing the right thing;)

  • Hi Best of luck for tomorrow, just think of all the adult chat you will be able to have Annie
  • I wish you all the very best hun and hope it works out for you :)

Just take it very easy to start with and don't over face yourself with more work than you can handle comfortably, even if you think you can, or because you used to be able to handle more. Don't even think about full-time for a good 6mths or so yet so you have time to settle and adjust and I'm sure you'll be just fine ;)

You are *so* doing the right thing, and I wish you all the luck you can handle!

CQ is right when she says don't take on more work than you feel you can handle - I'm sure you'll be fine though.

And make sure you let us know how you get on!
  • Thanks everyone, off for an early night now, ready for tomorrow.

Can't wait to get the first day over with and then to get my first drive over with, (i'm a coach driver).

    Nighty night. And thanks again.

    foreverskint,

I went back to work a couple of years ago after a fourteen year break.......It was one of the scariest but most worthwhile things that I have ever done.

    Good luck tomorrow :)

good luck! It must seem very daunting and probably for the first couple of days it will be very tiring but I'm sure after that you'll be having the time of your life! Careful you don't start singing the wheels on the bus or pointing out moo moo cows to everyone - it can take quite a while to get back into 100% adult company!
