ING - Now 4.75%! Joke! Can anyone help?

Hi all

Got a letter today saying that ING have dropped to 4.75%. There is low and then there is ING! I only stayed with them because of their system of being able to have up to 10 accounts AND get monthly interest.
I know Birmingham Midshires say they will better ING but from what I understand they don't offer monthly interest.
I've looked everywhere I can think of, but can anyone think of anywhere where I can have a few accounts and monthly interest?
Many thanks.

You must be ING's sole remaining customer. Get out now, the rest of us baled out years ago.

Just work out what your interest *would* be if it was paid monthly, and withdraw that manually...

    balance x gross p.a. rate(%) / 365 x n x 0.8

where n = number of days in month, and 0.8 is the savings tax multiplier (ignore if you get your interest gross).
I've looked everywhere I can think of...
I *think* you can have more than one BM eSaver account? If not, set up 'virtual' pots in a spreadsheet or by using MS Money?

EDIT: Yes, you can hold as many BM internet savings accounts as you want...

I'm in the same boat as you oxenryd... Still doing my research at the mo

I've been tipped by a few people for Birmingham Midshires, also for Bradford & Bingley Internet Saver (2) account (recently dropped its interest rate from 6.15% gross AER to 6.00% gross AER) or ICICI HiSave (interest rate currently still 6.16% AER)...

Others include Icesave Easy Access Savings (6.05% AER, but you need a minimum £250 in there) or Kaupthing Edge (6.50% AER, but you need a minimum £1000 in there)...

Haven't yet decided meself whether to move my accounts or where to move them, but I hope those few above might help you with some ideas oxenryd

Lol No, they are not I still have 2 accounts with them containing a total of £7.68! :j

Move it Oxen, it's the only language ING understand. I reckon they must be desperate for savers, they keep phoning and emailing me asking me to put my 'nest egg' back with them! :rotfl:

Forgot to say, I can thoroughly recommend Icesave and they do monthly interest, I always insist on monthly interest too. :)
