patio doors price???

can anyone tell me a ball park figure for a patio door, double glazed and installed as I'm moving house and the new house will need a door putting in so I'm estimating how much I need to put aside but I have no clue and can't find anything...

any ideas greatly appreciated - don't want to leave my self short(or get ripped off)

Are you talking about sliding, plastic doors into an existing opening?
Do you mean 'french doors' opening out?
We had are original sliding patio doors replaced with the french doors,
8' opening (needed two small side panels) for £1250 installed.
Personally I think the french doors are far better than sliding ones.

750-1000 for a decent door, up to 200 labour for fitting if the doorspace needs creating

either - just a ball park figure as I was thinking £500 would be enough and my hubby said No - more like £1,000-£1,500 but we were both just guessing.

I absolutely need them so I can watch the bairn from the kitchen otherwise I won't be able to get anything done as I won't be able to see her and if I need to do something I'll have to keep bringing her in (present kitchen sink window looks onto garden you see)...
