Painting UPVC windows

Hi folks
We've got the wood effect UPVC windows on the majority of our windows, put in prior to us buying the house.
We want to sort out the remaining 5 windows, and are happy using ones that are surplus to requirements from the manufacturers, suppliers.
However, they don't have many wood effect spares, so we'd like to know if the white ones can be painted to match our existing ones, and if so, what paint is best ?
Many thanks
