TV/Digibox/dvdrec + video connection set up

The set up is tv connected to t.w digi box (or on digi box) and dvd recorder everything works fine and dandy but how can we hook up a video recorder to be able to back up or videos to dvd? My mother in law is asking me to hook hers up :eek: and i cant even include the video in ours
My set up is tv to dvd recorder (scart) and digi box to dv recorder (scart) with external ariel from wall into digi box then down to dvd recorder and back up to tv and i honestley dont know what the m.i.l. is but is there any kind person who could maybe let me know if i can and how to please as it would make my life a tadd easier:rolleyes:
