If you want to use a second Sky box, you will need a cable running to the dish and a multi output LNB fitting. e.g. more than one output. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Yep - the sky box *needs* to be connected directly to a satellite dish to get the freesat channels. Tbh its cheaper and easier to just go out and buy a freeview box for the bedroom - especially as you already have an aerial run there (unless of course you live in an area that can't get it).0

We have sky in 3 rooms in the house and don't pay for multiroom and only have 1 box. We do this by using AV sender thingys. Using these you don't need to do anything to the dish. Only thing is though that both TV's have to watch the same channel.
Sorry I can't give more info than that or how to set them up as hubby does all that but I know thats what we have.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
i have installed a few dishes in my time ,all you need is a quad lnb, this has four outputs, these are not expensive, about 10 quid on ebay, swapping them over is easily done, there are plenty of guides on internet just look around0

would you not need a sky freesat card for the other box to get free chans? these are 20 quid i think one of payment.0

Yes you would... so its a card and a new LNB...
What the OP has is a feed from the back of the sky box this would only work via magic eye and remote... but you would not watch two different channels at once!0
