Thursday 8/05/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will/have:
  • Check online banking
  • Clicks
  • storecupboard lunch
  • Buffet at work this afternoon so probably won't be making any tea:D
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • Make a batch of yoghurt
  • See to veggies and greenhouse during lunch
  • Try and have a no spend day
Another lovely sunny day here today:D hope you all have the sunshine.
Hi to all the regular posters:hello: :hello: :hello:, hi to any new posters:wave: . Have a great day everyone.

Poor little person is running around the site trying to be noticed.( Edit: we had a visit from a troll, hence Pania's remarks. Troll now deleted)

    Today:
    - clicks (even one from Pigsback!)
    - started washing the winter jackets as a great drying day
    - 'pot-luck' freezer / store cupboard meals planned
    - e-bay items doing well (auctions finish today)
    - off to post a Greenmetropolis book
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

    Morning everyone,

Personally I just pity Multi-Millions attempts to be noticed. After all what hope does an illiterate (look up the word apostrophe MM) wassock like that have of happiness.

Anyway, nothing special going on here. Checked banking, eBay etc.

    Have a nice one everyone.

Ah fabulous. A new wuckfit for our entertainment. :T I haven't been able to use that term on anyone for over a week.

Morning lovelies! th_bighug.gifHi to any new posters too.

It's my wedding anniversary today and the sun is shining... hopefully it will be a good day at work today too.

SM - mmm homemade bread. Yum! Maybe I should buy a breadmaker. Are they super expensive? That wouldn't be a very good DFW thing if so... I don't NEED any more kitchen gadgets...;)

I'll keep this list updated during the day, but so far have:
    - checked online banking
    - checked for MS jobs
    - did piggy click
    - lunch will be free as a MS job
    - checked my eBay auctions
    - posted book to buyer on GM
    - did a comment on Writers:share (only just started this, have done 4 comments so far, waiting to see if any are accepted as not that sure on style of writing to use for it)
    - checked STP last night, but no scouting rooms open at the mo
    - moved £60 to old saving account
    - will withdraw £100 from paypal and move to savings as well

Edit: well didn't get as much done as I wanted, but there's always tomorrow...
