Hi,
I'm planning a holiday to Switzerland soon.
Can anyone suggest the right kind of plug converter (for charging camera, mobile, hair straightner, etc) to use in Switzerland?
Also, where can i find one?
Any information will be useful.
Thanks

I posted this before, so hope it helps.
I would recommend the "Swiss Travel Products World Travel Adapter with USB Charger" as it will be pretty much be all you will ever need plug/adapter wise when travelling anywhere.

This is the Daddy of them all and the Holy Grail of travel adapters.

It certainly is, I imagine it would wash my socks too.
If you want to know what basic cheap adaptor you need, this table shows you what is involved for each country: http://kropla.com/electric2.htm
Looks as though an adaptor with Type C layout will fit anywhere on the continent, including Switzerland, so you may already find you have one.0 -
Just for a bit of clarity, a standard European adaptor (like for France, Germany, Italy, etc) will work for most sockets in Switzerland - but not all.
The pins are in the right place, but sometimes the socket will be set back into the wall and so you won't be able to use a normal European adaptor (wrong shape to fit in the diamond-shaped inset space).
That sort of socket is the exception rather than the rule though. The electrical departments in some of the department stores (e.g. Manor) certainly used to sell adaptors from UK to proper Swiss, but I'm not sure if they still do.0 -
B&Q have the double travel plug pack (US and Europe adaptors) reduced to clear at 25p a pack. Loads in the store near me today.0
