    Shame I came to this thread too late perhaps, but there is a travelodge not far from me, in Park Royal (West London) on the A40, very close to Park Royal tube station (Piccadilly Line). It has parking space all in front of it and I think on the side and back too.

    Well, for next time then.... :)

    I thought the Park Royal travel lodge might be the best bet, when I past it today on the way to my parents. It is only a few minutes walk to the tube station and across the road from the Leisure Park, with all the restaurants, bowling, cinema etc. It is only about 15 minute drive to the BBC from there too. Like you say it is a shame I had not notice it before today and mentioned it.
