OK, I've knocked the warrior forum enough for one night, but I have been a member for over two years and read it several times a week. So I know what I'm talking about.

Knocking the warriors reminded me of the only ebook I have ever got from there, and I do get a lot from the free ones, that was worth the bother.

The book tells you how to build a web site using wordpress. Not a blog, but an actual web site with static pages etc. It is a very good book, in pdf format, and I have used it myself, and given it to others who also thought it was very good.

It's completely free, you don't even have to give your email address to get it. Although it does contain adverts and link which may earn someone money if you follow them. I have used the book many times and never clicked a link in it once.

If you want to build a web site, but don't know where to start, or just want to build one fast then I highly recommend this book. It's the only ebook I have ever seen that contains something useful!

You can download it from here, just click on the picture of the book.

Just remember that the author gives the book away free because she hopes to make money from you clicking the links in the book.

EDIT: It is actually one of two books I found useful, but the other looked too much like hard work , so I never followed it up.

I used a get rich quick scheme once that actually worked! Then my then-husband f***ed it all up.

I worked a spreadsheet system on the horses using the daily favourites as suggested by an online newspaper. It worked by ensuring your aim was to go £10 up for each race and it DID work. Every time you hit your £10 per race, you banked it and started aiming for £10 again. So say you got £70 profit seven races in, you'd whack £67.50 to one side and start with £2.50 again. This is the absolute best I can explain it and I apologise that it doesn't make too much sense!

But then my then-husband was onto a losing streak one day while I was having a lye-in. I was up about £2.5k by this point (had been doing it for a couple of months at home while I was ill (online)). Only he was losing, and betting a lot more than the £10 each time. Come the end of the day - TWO THOUSAND POUNDS went down the drain. If he'd have stuck to the system properly, we'd have only been down £120 and easily got that back in the following days.

It put me off gambling for life despite my previous success.
  • surely you mean your EX husband?? ;)

No, I mean then-husband because he wasn't an ex at the time.

The internet marketing thing is a reasonably good way to make money I think. I have looked at most of the get rich quick schemes on ebay, but none work, there is not secret 'get rich quick' formula.

Internet marketting is good, if you have a hobby or some interest, you can market around that, for example in a blog, write some good interesting posts that are useful, then put some relevant adverts on it or recommend some products that are relevant.

I get around £100-200 per month from these various internet marketting things. It is fairly easy to set up, although quite time consuming whilst you learn all about it, then you just need to get people to visit the site which is trickier! Now they are set up, I don't really do anything to the sites now, apart from writing the occasional new blog post or updating pages.
  • Can I just say its very brave of John french to admit thas he has been taken in by these schemes, I think one way these people get away with it for so long is because people are embarrassed to admit they have been taken for a ride

No "get rich quick" scheme works. Think about it: if it worked, why would they sell the secret for a few quid? If it worked, they would simply employ someone to go through the process while they reap the rewards, rather than try to sell the 'secret' to other people for a couple of quid/dollars.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably IS too good to be true.

Getting cash requires time, effort, or time AND effort! Even the 'safe' gambling loopholes listed on this website require an investment of time and effort.

Please, before sending cash off to anyone, look at the scheme and ask yourself "If it's that easy, why would they try and sell the secret. If I was in that position, would I try to sell the knowledge or would I use it myself?"

Some of the gits out there make it sound so tempting and believable.
