How many lives has Martin saved?

Hi Guys

Im not actually in any debt or need to save money, but my girlfriend is. I've been doing well for a while and helping her out quite a bit, but since she found this forum its like she is a new person. She is being sensible, proactive with her money and working off her debts brilliantly. She even has got me saving plenty of cash here and there with all the tips.

After seeing his show a few times and some of the stories she has told me from this website, I kind of think Martin deserves a medal or an OBE or similar. I got me wondering, how many lives has Martin literally saved? Either in terms of their quality of life or literally, in cases where crippling debt has caused serious depression.

I would wager, that without realising it, he has saved thousands of lives since he set this website up. Martin for Prime Minister!:money:

Yeah, causing a bit of confusion inthe picture thread.

I'm not saying he does nothing btw, just that I dont think he personally did it if you get me. He mayhave provided tools and the resources, but actually doing the "saving" someone else has done.

Ahh well life saving doesn't really seem to get recognised much. The person who's saved more lives than anyone in history probably wouldn't even be known to most people. (Norman Borlaug by the way, UN and Nobel committee estimate he and his work is personally responsible for saving 1 billion lives).
