I know that balance transfers have to be made in the first 60 days of opening the account, but can anyone tell me if the same applies for purchases?
Or are purchases 0% till Aug '05 no matter when you you do them?
Thanks,
Scott

Bhoy,
What does it say in the T&C's ??Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)0 -
i was wary at the beginng.
but phoned them and got it confirmed, i then found it confirmed in my t's&c's also.
when the statement came it also confirmed it,
so give them a ring if you are unsuresmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... :cool:0 -
It was a combination of the two that confused me!
I phoned them & the guy said, "Nope, you only get 0% on balance transfers".
Then I read the T&C on my leaflet & I'm sure it says that balance transfers are 0% in the first 60 days, and purchases are 0% till Aug '05, so I didn't know what to think!
Should probably just ignore the guy & go with the leaflet...Nice to save.0 -
Balance transfers 0 %- first 60 days
Purchases 0% - until end of introductory period - Aug 050 -
nope mine is definately 0% on transfer until Aug 05

nope mine is definately 0% on transfer until Aug 05
and 0% on purchases until Aug 05
each monthly statement says it....
I've got a feeling that he's right - 60 days for BTs but purchases at any time - but I still recommend that he looks at his specific set of T&C's to be sure.Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000

nope mine is definately 0% on transfer until Aug 05
and 0% on purchases until Aug 05

I think you could only do transfers in the first 60 days, but then they are interest free until August, whereas you can continue making purchases right up to the end of the interest free period.0 -
sorry my reply was misleadingnope mine is definately 0% on transfer until Aug 05
i meant 0% until aug 05 on balance transfer done within the first 60 days
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... :cool:0 -
The take up on the card would have been huge if it was on purchases just in the first 60 days.....
One of the best offers ever that.
Amazing how many times someone asks when it's right in front of them.0
