Why can't I view Andale page counter on ebay?

I always get a box with a red cross in it ? I use IE 6, please help.

It might be that your Internet Exporer may not allow you to view pictures.
Go to Tools> Internet options> Advanced Tab > Under Multimedia tick the 'Show Pictures box.

Thanks, but I've checked that. I'm wonering if it may have something to do with having spybot or spywareblaster installed, don't know.

Almost certainly. The counters are there just as much to track people as they are to provide eBay users with information. The page counters may also be blocked, if you use one of the "hosts files" offered on various websites. The one at MVPs.org, for example, is set to block out the Andale counter servers.

It may also be your firewall. Some of them do block out ads and counters. Try tweaking your firewall if you want to see the counter or disable the firewall and refresh the page F5 and see if the counter returns. It it does then it is your forewall blocking the counter. Not recommended though!

Thanks to all for their help, I think I'll leave the spyware progs installed and do without the counter..... after reading web page above!

Assuming you are the seller go to my ebay>active...scroll down to managing my auctions and you will find manage/ edit anadale counters. Just sign up for a free account and add your auctions. Then using this button you can track your hits.


Took me months to find/do this...I had exactly the same problem.
