Gas Pipes

Hi i have solid fuel fire in my house i had gas but got it out, i am now getting on in years & have asked the gas co, to put my gas back in my house they only cut the pipe & put a blank on the end. Now that i want the gas back in i have to pay 500 pound for a new gas pipe one meter long do you think is is a bit much to pay.:o

    Who are you asking? Dont ask British gas, Ask national grid.

    Yeah, ask National Grid Gas and not an independent. Though if it is an IGT that runs part of the mains to the home then maybe you're stuffed anyway with the higher cost from suppliers for gas if they charge more to customers who have gas transported through an IGT and not National Grid Gas (formerly Transco).
