Would appreciate a quick response to this if possible:
I know the current nil rate band is £312000 (multiplied by two)
Are the proposed rates of £325000 and £350000 for the next 2 years enshrined in law or are they only proposals.

They are just the minimum a Labour Government under Gordon Brown would dare permit in its future budgets since he proposed them.
Obviously a Tory government would go higher.
I can't see a Labour government under someone else committing political suicide by reneging on Gordon's concession.0
