yes so i see, i wonder how long that rate will last.
if its anything like the Internet Saver (2) that lasted about 3 weeks, before the rate dropped to 6% from 6.15%

I have an Internet Saver 2 and couldn't be happier, when every other bank was dropping rates by 0.25% in line with base rate B&B only dropped my IS2 by 0.15%!! Bargain!

I have an ISA, Fixed bond and two online accounts with B&B and all of them pay over 6.00%, how do they do it when all the other big banks are paying less than 4%?

Definately going to apply for one of these Internet Saver Notice Accounts, might chuck a cheeky 250k in there!! ; )
  • Hopefully it will last a while...yeah Internet Saver 2 would have annoyed me too...although an online account I have with First Direct went down the full 0.25 after the base rate drop - at least Bradford and Bingley only dropped it 0.15...

only drawback I can see is that you can't transfer money into it from an existing B&B account. :(

All deposits have to come from your nominated account only.

Just a hunch but I reckon Secret Wookie, Secretsaver, Nero_111 and Mr £ might all know one another. Every message is written in the same format. There is also a remote possibility he/they might work for B&B.

Just a feeling, I may be wrong .......

Do you work there or summat (and Mr £ too, for that matter)?! LOL! There are much better no-notice rates out there at the moment...

Cheers for that Wookie - some great rates on there...I'm definitely going to get one of these - luckily for me I can go in at the middle tier...wish I could go in with over 250k and get the top rate...maybe some day!

Nah, I agree with you - looks like whoever it was posted all that stuff in 10 minutes and then went home for the day!

LOL - that's the problem with having your posting history available...

And as for sticking £50k in to get 6.2% instead of a couple of 1 year fixes at 6.8%+ or a couple of instant access at 6.5%... go figure as they say.
