How to fix tiles around washbasin?

I just need some advice please. I just had a new washbasin fitted, the old tiles remain as they are in excellent condition but the basin was not in the same position. I need to do some patchwork if that's possible around the washbasin. I wonder whether it will be better if I can find old tiles and try to them to fit them around, the shape is a bit arquid lie half of a curve or is it better if I fill the space with polyfilla and paint it white. It does not show at a glance, but when you are taking a bath you can see it. I would appreciate some advice, please. Thanks

If the area isn't too big, I would use tile grout, you could rake out the exisiting grout first from the surrounding tiles and regrout a complete section, this way it would'nt look too obvious!
I prefer to use powdered type grout, that you mix with water, rather than the ready mixed stuff.0 -
Will give it a go on a small area and see how it looks!!0
