Hi Peeps

I have been missing for a while. Was diagnosed with chronic fatigue - an after effect of the stress of the last couple of years I think - and a bit depressed so I kind of retreated into my shell a little bit, but I am missing you all. Have wanted to come back for a while, but have been finding it hard to 'reintroduce' myself. Just taken a deep breath though and here I am.

I have been keeping up with you all so I know whats been going on with you lot. As for me, things are pretty much the same as they were except my DH (or MB MKII - as some know him) is now self-employed as a contractor and loving it. He works away though so pretty tough on my own I am finding.

Anyways - just thought I would say hello!!!

LOL - wish I could. Unfortunately with three kids still at home and studying for exams I am too busy. Plus I also have to mow the lawn myself and try to mend my car after DH flattened the battery and then went away again leaving me to it!!!

The upsides are - I get uninterrupted sleep and the house stays tidy.:rotfl:

Try & find time, my hubby has been away ( at sea ) since beginning of Feb, & this week I had a bit of a pamper to make myself feel a bit better, as getting really fed up being on my own with 2 children, I have to do everything too, so i know where you are coming from.
I too have taken the battery off the car & recharged it mowed the lawn etc. No help from family, the only way they'd know if I was alive or dead is if they saw the flies inside the windows:rotfl: :rotfl:
How do you keep the house tidy  my 2 wreck it as I'm doing it! soul destroying
As for sleep my Daughter is always sneaking in my bed in the night & kicking me:p
Anyway, glad to see you're back:D & make sure Hubby gives you a lovely lie in when he's back ( yeah I know, not likely :p )

How do I keep house tidy. Well - it has become apparent with the great one working away from home just who the biggest mess maker is!

I work full time and study so I do have to be super organised. The girls are starting to see the benefit of a routine and have started to pick up on it and follow suit. I am married to someone who hates to be tied to routine and thinks weekends are 'family' time and not tidying up time..He is of course quite right but can't seem to understand that following a routine during the week will give me that weekend freedom.

The car battery was a massive problem. First I tried to jump start it and eventually had to abandon it at the bottom of a hill. Then daughters BF got it jumpstarted and kindly drove it up to my drive and left it! FIne but it was still dead. Then I borrowed a battery charger and despite charging it all night nothing..... So I bought a new battery and attempted to fit it myself. However, it appeared that the garage had sold me the wrong battery! So I bought jump leads and going back onto google to learn how to start a car with jump leads and terrifed I would be blown up I tried to jump start it but actually just succeeded in causing my daughters to die on me too.

It was at this point I became hysterical and called the RAC out - I remembered my daughter had cover on her insurance - and a very kind man mended both cars in two mins flat. I can highly recommend the RAC. I also realised that I have RAC cover too and I could have saved myself a lot of money and stress!!!!:o

As for the lawn mower - after trying for two hours to try and start the petrol driven lawn mower - in very small shorts and a low cut top hoping some man might have taken pity on me and helped!! Not a pretty sight! I gave up and bought a cheap flymo from Asda for £20.

Thing is even if DH had been here he wouldn't really have been much use as he is terrible in the car/diy/cooking/cleaning dept - but I could have taken my bad temper out on him:rotfl:

And i have shared my bed with an 18 year old and a two year old since he has been gone. I did tell my daughter that its not normal but she says my bed is comfy. Good job its a big bed.

Tonight I put my foot down and all kids are in their own bed. Guess what! I can't sleep!!!!

    Hi Tigz

I have been very up and down for the last couple of years really. I am finding it hard to fit into the job world. It seems that my confidence took a real knock when I lost my job after having the little un and I am finding it hard to get it back. I find that if I come across problems at work I just want to run away rather than face my fears. I am finding it hard to take criticism - even if its constructive - and find that I replay a lot of things that go wrong at work over and over in my head all the time. I think thats why I am up now!

I will keep posting I did miss you lot on here. I did feel though like I whinged a lot over small things when other people had bigger problems than me. :o

welcome back hun - we missed you.

I'm not sure what to say about your confidence except... as more and more good things happen, your confidence will come back. You were wonderful with me last year when I needed a bit of help with the spreadsheet so please don't sell yourself short. repeat after me "Cat says I'm wonderful, Cat doesn't lie, therefore I'm wonderful"

    Keep in touch hun
