There is now a standing charge... does this still work out better? and I heard eon regualry do special offers then increase it straight away... can I move again or are there loooong contracts?

    Electric wise that standing charge would equal roughly 8.5p extra on the first 900 electric units if it were a NSC tarrif.

    Usually you can move as often as you like but some do tie you in or request cancellation fee (say £40 ish) to end early. - should all be shown on suppliers website.

    if it is better depends on if based on your usage you will be better off. How may Kwh do you use each year?

  • Well this is for my brother and he didn't give regular readings sadly... but EDF suggested the expenditure was around £40 for Electric and £35 for Gas.
