Selling question

Hi Guys

I am about to list an item for sale that I know will sell for about £250. I have only sold small items in the past that went for less than £50.00.

I just want some tips to make sure that I don't get scammed. Would I be better off with a bank transfer or paypal? Are large paypal payments ok, I keep thinking that I have heard about payments that are deposited and then taken back.

Any advice would be great.
Thanks

When I sell really Expensive items (>£500) on eBay, I always use 'Fixed Price' listing with the 'Immediate Payment Required' option.

If your feedback is <100 you'll have to offer Paypal & any payment >£150 has to sent via a courier that shows the Tracking & Signature online to be covered under Paypal's SPP (See my post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=7035059&postcount=6).

Currently I only know of RM Special Delivery & Parcelforce offering this & they're both suitable for high value items (Parcelforce 24 (>30Kg) via Paypal Postage: £11.99)

Also ensure that the payment address is Confirmed, if your not part of Paypal's new extended seller protection policy.
