Press PrintScreen on the top right of your keyboard.
Go to start > programs > accessories and click on Paint
In Paint, click Edit > Paste
Then File > Save As. Click the pulldown menu for Save as type and select JPEG File Interchangeable Format (*.JPG *.JPEG), enter a file name and save to a folder.
Then you can attach that through your mail program with the Staple icon.0 -
Press the print screen key on your keyboard and then in the email click edit and then paste.
If you want to attach it then go into paint and paste it in there then save it and attach the saved file to the email.
The Print Screen key is usually to the right of the F12 key on a desktop keyboard, it might be different on a laptop. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Many thanks for the help... managed to do it!0

as a bye the bye if you hold <alt> & <prt screen> you only picture the active screen so theres less work to be done on the editing side you can simply paste it in0

Faststone Capture allows you to do all this (and more) in one program. The last free version was 5.2 and can be downloaded here:

If you want to save the screenshot as a JPEG instead of a bitmap, you can use a tiny, very simple program called 'Peg-It.
(JPEG files are a lot smaller than bitmaps due to compression - a bit like the difference between a ripped CD and an MP3)
'Peg-It allows you to paste the screenshot, and adjust the JPEG compression with a slider till you get the right quality. Handy if you are going to be emailing a number of images...
