Hey guys,
Help needed to clear the "predictive drop down menu" on my laptop.
Tried looking everywhere but no luck.
Its the option that when I click on the address bar (google for example) and it predicts what i am looking for by first letter I type in......
I want to be able to reset it somehow??
Thanks
BEEF

Open IE, tools, internet options, clear History
Or download and run this, does it all for you http://www.ccleaner.com/0 -
tried that and it only clears address bar drop downs?
Imagine you go into google and want to find a person, i type in the first letter and all search starting with that letter drop down, i type in the second letter and the number of finds get smaller etc etc
Thats what i want to clear?

Hi itsbeef,
As you referred to Google is that because you are using the Google Toolbar for your search?
If so, on the toolbar you will see the word OPTIONS. Press that and in the box you will see the tag SEARCH at the top, press that. Untick the DROP DOWN SEARCH HISTORY button. That'll do it.Jazz

Yikes!
I'm having this problem too. My OH is trying to look for Xmas pressies for me but on the google homepage it comes up with a list of searches
I've done everything above but how do you stop it from happening in the first place?
Thanks in anticipation
Just run, run and keep on running!0 -
see my post above.. switch the auto complete off and it won't give you the drop down list when you start typing words in0
