Thanks all - bought black Betula birkis from TKMAXX in Nuneaton today for £19.99. They also have them in Coventry (but didn't have my size!!) Alao check out TJ Hughes they have had them but may now be sold out0

hey all, I have about 4 pairs of Birkenstock sandals and I love them, so for all you peeps who are thinking of getting a pair, I would definately recommend them. one thing to look out for if you havnt had a pair before is the sizing, they do come our quite big, so always best to go for 1 size down.
when you first try them on, they may feel a little hard and "ill fitting" but give them a few wears and the footbed starts to soften up and your feet mould them snuggly
you can get the sandals in 2 different materials, man made and leather, which obviously effects the price somewhat, so its really down to you what you wanna go for, the man mades are just as good I think (plus it means you can get them in white)
