How many Credit Card Company's automatically amend Direct Debit payments?

Currently Goldfish will amend the amount taken by DD as long as the payment is received at least 5 working days before the DD payment date.

However this may change when they move over to Barclaycard's systems later in the year.

If you pay at least the minimum early by debit card or internet/phone banking and have a direct debit set-up to take the minimum Barclaycard definitely do not take the direct debit. I have been paying a few days after I got my statement for 12 months now and the direct debit has never been called.

I assume if you set one up for a set amount they will take that, although will they they take it if it will put you in to credit? Again one for the full amount, I dont know if they would check before taking it if you have made a payment and deduct the difference but I doubt it as it would break the direct debit guarantee.
