Electric Lawn Rakes, Any Good?

Can someone please comment on the effectiveness of the electric lawn rakes that are available in the diy chains?
I appear to have developed areas of moss in the lawn and think this option will be better than repeated chemical applications that leave the dead moss there.
Thanks

I bought a Qualcast Lawnraker 3 years ago and it certainly beats using a manual lawnraker. I only have a small garden but I manage to fill two wheely bins with moss and dead grass in a season. The only problem I find with the Qualcast is the front mounted collection bin which is completely useless and I normally leave it off then go over the lawn with a mower.0

Must be one of the best garden accessories you can buy for labour saving and effectiveness. Have used several different models over the years including Black & Decker and mower attachments. All work very well and remove large quantity of debris allowing your lawn to flourish.0

Was the front collection useless because it got in the way or it didn't hold enough?0

Yes these are great. You should still put a moss killer on about a month before you use it - if not you will spread live moss all over your lawn!0

It was both because the moss is not compacked and soon fills the collection bin also it get's in the way if you have a border which means you have stop before the edge of the lawn otherwise the bin get's knocked off.!!!!!!_turpin wrote: »Was the front collection useless because it got in the way or it didn't hold enough?0
