Bought a Car with Falsified Service History

Options
I came across some posts on this forum about TPC Trade Cars in Barry.

I have just had a nasty experience with them. I spent over £10,000 on a BMW from them with a full BMW Service History. They appear to have stamped the Service book themselves as the local BMW dealer in Cardiff has never seen my car. I know they did it as the date of the last false service stamp was between when I saw the car (and left a deposit) and when I made the final payment. Part of my contract with them was that I would only buy the car if they had BMW service the car and fix all problems that were discovered during the service.

They have now been giving me the run around for the last 6 weeks. To make matter worse, I have had the car serviced at my own expense (after they said the would re-imburse the costs of the service) only to find out that there is another £400 plus work that needs doing - they have gone back on their word to re-imburse me.

Any help on this forum would be much appreciated. In particular I would be interested in finding out exactly what I can and cannot claim from them when it ends up in the small claims court.

You can get a rubber stamp made up with any design you like for less than £10. There are loads of websites selling them on the internet.

Contact Trading Standards and ask them to investigate and obtain a refund on your behalf.
