You need a upto date (PAL) , Powered Acess liecence. renewable every 5 years. If you dont have 1 your insurance will be void. It will have your photo on it(mine has) . And the hirer should insist that you show them it before hireing it to you.
A thankyou is payment enough .

We hired one at work to fix a roof, the bloke dropped it off and didn't even tell us how to use it.!!!!!!let alone ask about insurance.

Yes I have an IPATH licence (which is the same ) For cherry picker and scissor lift .I use them at work .

I was just wondering if any body had used one at home and are there any pitfalls ,other than falling out or taking the neighbours roof off that anybody knows about?
Or are there any tips that would help me along ?

Unashamed Bump ...With all this sunny weather I could need to hire one sooner rather than later ...I can't be the first person to hire one of these?
