How Much for A Replacement Double Glazed Window?
divadee
Whilst strimming the garden today mr divadee hit a big stone which flew up and hit one of our double glazed windows and cracked and chipped it.
The size of the window is 104cm in length and 37cm in width (those measurements are end of beading to end of beading not just the window on show).
Does anyone know just roughly how much this should cost?
Thanks in advance xxxx

If its just the glass thats broken then glass sealed units are generally £30pm in the trade. Someone should be ablke to fit new sealed unit in hour so £150 all in?
worth considering who you bought it from Everest used to replace FOC no matter how it was broken, otherwise it'll probably be covered on your home insurance.
Do make sure however it is the same make up as existing, ie gas fill or air, and type of glass, low e glasses often have a tint so a replacement could easily look different
sashmanBuying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:0 -
Just been to a friend and the same happened to them - stone from the lawnmower flicked up and broke the double glazed conservatory window. Their window is about 4ft square and with safety glass it's £158 fitted.0
