Benidorm

Offski to Benidorm Friday morning with 25 mates from Glasgow for a "Stag Weekend" Now all the guys are in their early to late 40's so we don't want to go raving, but looking for some decent pubs and bars to go in. We normally go to Magaluf for October fair weekend and head in to places like Baco's and across the road, not into BCM style places.

So which bars would you recommend as this is our first visit? Or should I say which are the places to avoid.

Will also be looking for a good Rangers pub for the Dundee Utd Game Saturday lunchtime.
Cheers
Steve

Haven't been for years but love it there but you must find out where Sticky Vicky is on stage or her daughter and take your video as you won't believe your eyes!!! She usually plays in several pubs on one night and they will advertise it on the boards outside.

I find new town better and it has loads of bars you will find to your taste.

    Hav a fab trip.

head to the square and you 'll do fine. try cafe b for dancing! also head to the old town for food at cherie's, and vincents. plenty of scottish bars and the shamrock can be relied upon for a fun night. the 'heavier' clubs tend to be on the road out of town or by the front but certainly explore hear anyway.
Rich !!!!! and plenty other of my favourites are in the old town so make sure you explore properly...
if money is tight it is still possible to gat a pint for a euro and three or four course chinese for 5

A good Chinese in Benidorm! There must be dozens. But I've been to one a couple of times near the bus terminus at the end of the old town, behind Parque d'Elx. It's called Pato Laqueado, and as the name suggests, the Peking Duck is excellent. (Pato is Spanish for duck.) Very reasonably priced, as are most Chinese places on the Costa Blanca.

Hi, I have lived in benidorm for ten years and agree the best chinese is Pato Laquerdo (or however you spell it), near Dove Park in the old town.

If you want to see a good comedian, go see Crissy Rock at the UK cabaret Bar, underneath the Presidente Hotel, she is on at 11 and is well worth a visit.

As previously mentioned, Sticky Vicky is a must, but be sure to see 'Vicky Leyton', the original, as there is an imposter doing the rounds under the same name. (Sticky Vicky)

I am a singer and worked at the Rich B!!ch Showbar for 5 years, again, a great show, but may not be everyones cup of tea. Very popular, and you need to book in advance. It's 5€ entrance, but worth every cent.

Albi senior is another great comedian, and is on at midnight in Wheeltappers, he really is good and his DVD is amazing.

There is free entertainment everywhere, you're sure to have a good time.

A few words of caution, like everwhere, be careful with money, pickpockets do operate, and pick on people who are too drunk to notice.

And finally, please, please, no matter how drunk you get, ever go with the street girls offering free or cheap sexual acts, they will take you down an alley where a gang of foriegn lads will be waiting to relieve you of your money.

It really is a great place, you'll have a great time, there are over 1000 bars, catering for every age group and taste.

Need any more info, let me know.
