you seem to have had quite a few bad experiences with tesco these last few weeks.
Maybe time to shop elsewhere?Money Saved for a house deposit so far = July 2008 £3331.09, August £4396.40, September £5,048.37 (Target = £9,000 by July 2009) 56% there already!:j
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me!0 -
Check the dates on the milk. Shove the front few aside and have a look at the back are the dates later? (fresher). They always front up the least fresh,.
Try a different one. i.e. organic or local or filtered (whatever the reason for filtering that I don't understand.)
Feel the bottle. If its warm leave it and choose another. Or ask the manager and tell him your problems. They may have a rogue staff who leave the delivery unchilled overnight.
If you have no joy check your own fridge seals and temperature.
Then shop elsewhere.0 -
tesco dont do stock rotation!!! went in today and needed yoguts. looked for the best date. the ones in the frount and they had a good date on them (1st june) looked behind for a better date 12th may - not a hope!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

you might not have noticed it but they do. That's why they put reduced labels on stuff.
milk for sure.
yoghurt has quite a long shelf life so it is possible that all the stuff on the shelf is from the same batch.0 -

I'd guess it's an error - I often scrabble at the back of a shelf for a better date, and that's normally where they are. If they were always that careless then they'd have to sell off a lot of short-date produce cheaply :rolleyes:0 -

You mean some Tesco staff dont do it
I worked there many moons ago when my now 15 year old was a baby, I did night filling and our managers were hot on with stock rotation of chilled goods.
However, day staff would appear and top up the chillers around lunchtime just by shoving everything at the front. Used to drive me crackers because before I could even start work at night I had to sort out the stock I'd sorted the night before....:mad:0 -

They do on milk. The milk is wheeled out onto the shop floor on trollies. When one is empty, it is taken away and a new one brought out from the store.0
