I'm not sure if this is the best place to post so please move if needs be.
We bought some Tommee Tippee baby bottle teats on Saturday and we need to return them to Boots but we've lost the receipt. Does anyone know if Boots will do this? We got the points for them on our advantage card so will they be able to check from that to see we're not fibbing? Any advice appreciated!

without a receipt you'll have to exchange the bottle teats for something else0

Unless, of course, there is a fault with them.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Boots are quite good at changing stuff. My wife bought an electric toothbrush on offer for £25 just after Xmas and it recently stopped working. She took it back with the box & no receipt. They told her that the model had been discontinued, but she could have the replacement model. These are priced at £90 currently. :money: My wife was almost in a state of shock, as they didn't quibble anything.0

I worked for Boots as a chirstmas temp last year and remember there's a memo at the till for staff (sort of a flyer) mentioned about refund. Cannot remember exact word but it went on like this;
If a customer does not have the recipt but the products are still in the original package the refund can be done.
So I think if you tell them nicely that why you have to change the products they are normally let you do it and another technique that would do is being persistent, but not aggressive, asking to talk to shop floor manager. Normally, they will let you have your refund or gift card. Normally becasue at Boots we believe that our customers are honest people.
I dont think a shop has a system to check whether the points you got in the card are from which purcahse but it mgiht help mention that to them to show that you are not trying to trick themPlease dont forget to click "Thank You" button if you find my post is helpful0 -
You should be able to get an exchange but the old policy of refunds or gift card without a receipt no longer stands unless on 'exceptions' ie product recall or faulty.hth2020 Jan: storage box,£150 pots & pans, £50 restaurant voucher,dining experience,19 tubes of Pringles Feb: £50 food giftcard,0

Well done to your wife. But please be honest with companies on issues like this. If there is abuse of any returns system it impacts upon everyone as eventually they either become less flexible or increase prices to absorb phony returns.
Boots are among the best on the high street and their "value" ranges (if you can root them out in store) are easily the highest quality of any.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?

I'm sure a MASSIVE company like Boots will be able to 'absorb' the loss :rolleyes: all i can say is well done to the person who in my books got something for nothing out of Boots. Charity begins at home :whistle:Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -
I tried to return some Boots Soltan spray for your hair and scalp, after using it once and deciding that despite the claim that it 'doesn't feel greasy', it did! (hair looked like I'd sprayed it with oil).
I had my receipt and asked very politely for a refund.
The assistant had to phone the store manager, who told her to tell me that 'in this case we'll do a refund, but really it's like ordering a steak in a restaurant, you cant sent it back just because you don't like it'.
To be honest the assistant looked as bemused as I did!
Think the manager had a touch of sun stroke
I'd never had any problem with Boots before, maybe they've changed their returns policy? Even though the reverse of the receipt still states that full refunds are given with receipt.0
