It is the same idea as the Amazon card. Except in this case you earn pulse points but you get 2000 pulse points free after your first purchase or balance transfer onto the card. It is being offered at 9 months interest free at the moment. Only thing is that nowhere on the site does it tell you WHERE you get your dvd/cd/Playstation game from (which you can get for your 2000 pulse points)

It does look good but will wait till my interest free on my Amazon card runs out before applying for this one (if the offer is still on)

Here what it says on the site - ---

    Typical rate 15.9% APR (variable).

Sony can offer you a complete world of entertainment through music, movies, games and electronics. Now the SonyCard can offer you all these in exchange for Pulsebeats* earned when you spend using your SonyCard. Not only is your new SonyCard packed with benefits, but thanks to the great interest rates you'll be only too happy to use it all the time. Which is just perfect, because the more you use it the more Pulsebeats you'll earn, and the more you earn, the more Sony you'll get.

An outstanding introductory balance transfer rate of just 0% p.a. - available for nine months from the date your account is opened.◊
    Typical rate 15.9% APR (variable).

Manage your account online - view your balance, credit limit and your last six months' transaction history online, all from the comfort of your home.
Earn Pulsebeats every time you spend using your SonyCard - click on the Pulse Scheme link above for details.

Claim TRIPLE Pulsebeats - when you buy Sony products using your SonyCard.

2000 FREE SonyCard Pulsebeats when you first use your SonyCard - that's enough to claim a FREE DVD.

As a SonyCard Customer we'll keep you up to date with what's new in the world of Sony Entertainment - and you'll also be able to enter Dream Draws giving you access to exclusive Sony offers.
No annual fee - we do not expect you to pay extra for the privilege of carrying our credit card.

    Hmmm

There's probably a good reason for this but if you are in Ireland you get a slightly different offer:

1.9% APR on balance transfers for 6 months from the date your account is opened
16.9% APR (variable) on card purchases
    No Annual Fee
Up to 58 days interest free on card purchases
    Peace of Mind

I've moved the thread over to the Credit Card Board, as there is a whole thread on this board dedicated to freebies from credit cards. :)

This is an MBNA card by the sounds of it, so doubt if you will be able to transfer from A&L, Abbey or Virgin etc + there is a 2% bt fee.
