Painting Radiators Advice!

The radiators are looking tired and in need of a fresh coat of white paint. Many years ago I can recall using 'radiator paint', but it gave off nasty fumes I'm not sure if things have improved since then -can anyone offer me some advice please or recommendations on what paint to buy.
thankyou

I use ordinary non-yellowing gloss on my rads, the same as I use on the skirting etc.

I've used gloss, satin, and emulsion and never had a problem, although of course oil-based gloss does pong a bit for a while. The newer water based paints are fine. Apparently emulsion is no good for rads, but I've never had a single problem. Looking in the diy's there is a vast range of specialist paints, at inflated prices, but how many are really necessary? Very few, I think.

One of the radiator paints I used previously not only stunk the house out for days but was very runny and dripped everywhere.

enamel paint is the best for rads, but almost any oil based paint will do the job.
