Legitimate survey?

I've got an email asking me to complete a survey on my awareness and perceptions of savings accounts from HIEurope.org. The survey is at hpolsurveys.com. It says I've got this because I am a customer of the savings account provider who commissioned the survey, but doesn't say who that is.

I'm not clicking on the link just yet in case it takes me somewhere dodgy. Does anyone know if this is a legit survey or not?

Don't know of any account (loan, savings, whatever) which would have such a condition. The fact that they won't (ie can't) name the company suggests it's a scam.

Heaps of phishing emails going about - sounds like they've developed the 'get everyone' email - delete it.

I googled for hpolsurveys.com and it looks like plenty of reputable websites link to them, so it doesn't look like there is a problem on that front. I guess you could click the link while disconnected from the internet to make sure the link actually takes you to that site (or type it in manually).

Edit: In fact, I've just realised it's Harris Poll. You know, the people who predict US election results etc.

Doh! I should have read further down the mail there were contact details to address any concerns... albeit in Rochester, NY, USA! (and yes it was Harris Interactive)

They don't mention the bank concerned because they want to see if you identify it as a Savings brand. They do mention the bank at the end (as well as specifically asking a question about its customers half way through). The slight flaw in this plan is that I thought about it I posted my original concerns and remember I have only ever given 1 bank that particular email address so I knew who it was before I started. I usually use another email address for my banking!
