Advice needed about loans

Any advice will gratefully be received. I'm a single parent on Income support after my partner left. I have a 11 year old child. I'm here to ask advice about loans that you can apply for on the benefit system. My cooker has conked out on me and i'm not in the position financially to replace it. I know about budgeting loans, but I have not been on IS long enough as yet to apply for one. Is there any other form of help I could get with regards to replacing cooker. Thanks in advance for any advice.

See if you can get given a second-hand one by asking on Freecycle.0

As you have not been on IS long enough to qualify for budgeting loan, I am not sure but I think you may be able to apply for a Crisis Loan for Items. You should ring the Social Fund office and ask.:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0
