Is he trying something dodgy.

Sounds like a scam to me. I'd forget about it if I were you and try to get back some of your costs from ebay :-/

this is a scam, there has been various posts on this board about similar scams. Do not send them your phones try and re-coup FVF's from e-bay and re-list

If you fell for it, you would get a confirmation from Western Union confirming the money was paid. Then you'd send the goods. Then you'd discover the Western Union email was a clever fake.

paliwali this is a complete scam it is happening all the time on eBay now - don't make any more contact with the "buyer" and report them to eBay along with the original e-mail they sent you.

I would never agree to anything like this. I always email buyers that have sent me similar emails and say I only accept a personal cheque or paypal and won't post abroad (even if I am willing to post abroad to an honest bidder). I certainly wouldn't give them my address or phone number!
