London Monthly Travelcard Problems this morning

Hi - I wasn't able to buy my travelcard this morning because they said their system was down. I had to buy a daily for £8.20. Did anyone else have this problem or was it just my local station (Barnehurst)? Just wondering if I can buy it at another station for tomorrow. Don't want to spend more money on a daily.

(The annoying thing is that buying the ticket today fitted in with when I take my holiday. If I buy the monthly tomorrow I will have a day on there I won't use. She gave me a complaints form to fill in to ask for a refund, but I won't hold my breath...)
