barrel for sending goods abroad

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this post but hey maybe someone out there could help. I've been told by someone that the Inland Revenue supply barrels for 10pound which you can fill with goods to be sent abroad. Then apparently they will collect it for 50pound sounds too good to be true and I cannot find anything about this on the HMRC website. Has anyone heard of this? Thank you

Looks like someone is pulling your leg. Unless, HMRC have found a new income stream to help Gordon Brown fill the hole in his budget and are challenging DHL and others :rotfl:
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.

Someones pulling your leg, if you want to send items abroad you box them up and call a courier to take care of it

This is done by shipping companies, forget about couriers.

An example: Large barrel costs £20 to £25 including pick up and delivery to and from your home.
Delivery to say, South America around £90. An approx. three week delivery time. No weight limit.
