Gas placement

Hi,

I have posted this a couple of times now and as yet i have not had any responses, i am hoping there will be a gas fitter who reads this or someone who knows a gas fitter may be able to help.

My partner has recently started on a nvq level 2 gas service and install course and as part of the course he needs to gain some experience with a corgi registered gas fitter. We live in the merseyside area and he would be willing to make his own arrangements in terms of travel and any expenses incurred.

All he needs is to work with someone who can supervise his work and sign his forms to confirm he has completed the work to industry regulations.

May'be you dont know someone who works in all areas of gas, he would appreciate any experience like fires, cookers, meters, servicing, boilers anything would be appreciated.

He is willing to work for free and will not cost you anything but is deperate to get something sorted.

What do you get in return? He is willing to work without cost to you for approx 20 days, you never know if you are looking for a future reliable employee he could prove his worth and what can you possibly loose? If you're checking the work there wont be room for error.

He is reliable, honest and willing to work very hard oh and he makes a mean cuppa.

Any help you can give would be really appreciated.

  • All i can suggest is get out the local papers and phonebooks and get ringing or writing to companies. Don't be fooled into being someones slave labour for a few weeks, cause even though they may not pay you for your time they will for sure charge you out at an hourly price even as a labourer. I have seen this done many times. Also try asking at the local training centres/college and even ask if you can place a letter on their notice boards. There are always people training or doing more qualifications.
    good luck
