I think you will struggle - i sell car panels on ebay through work and the vast majority of couriers will not touch them with a barge pole. I doubt if any of the delivery re-sellers on ebay will be willing to transport it.

It will need to be crated to satisfy the couriers.

It will be far cheaper to just go and collect it.

It doesn't have to be crated to be couriered - ours are covered in bubbled wrap, then cardboard then pallet wrap. It's not perfect but it will do.

I sent a boot lid and I've also posted glass windscreens.
Wrap up with multi layers of cardboard and bubble wrap. I used to find the cheapest option via interparcel.com

You can't guarantee it won't but the vast majority of time you are fine. Our dispatch guys have wrapped more bonnets than i've had hot dinners and know what they're doing. A lot of the time the damage is not from denting but from being dropped, which causes the edges to curl over.

And getting crushed by all the other boxes in the lorry must be an issue??

Travelling up to derby will cost more than £40 for the bonnet then £20ish for delivery i would of thought? I thought couple rolls of bubble wrap around it would do it fine for the journey as the bonnet wouldnt be that heavy its just the strange shape and size

Bubble wrap won't stop it getting droped, dented or crushed by whatever else is in the lorry.
