You will need to make a new CA claim as the carer of your mother assuming that she gets the correct level of AA or DLA. At the same time, you'll need to tell DWP by letter (or on the new CA claim form), that you wish to close your present CA claim.
  • if you are getting carers for looking after one person(and it of course has to be for 35+hours a week)then you tell them you are looking after another person and want to change the claim, they may just woder how you manage to look after 2 people?
    just a thought
