    Hi,

I am currently trying to change a First Choice booking from Oct 2008 to Oct 2009.

The person I made my booking with has been very helpful & has advised that not all holidays have been loaded on to their system yet. For example, I was looking to change my holiday to May or Oct 2009, I could get prices for Oct but none for May which would normally indicate that they'd sold out but called to investigate as discovered that only so much info has been put on.

I don;t know when they'll be available online but check every day. She told me they should've been on by now, so check daily.

I'd also advise trying another shop & see if someone can be more helpful.

I work for TUI Group of Companies. My companies ATOL/ABTA numbers are 2524 / D5299. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it but Atol numbers can be checked on the Civil Aviation Authority website. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.

Hi I posted earlier to say that First Choice had released very few free child prices and the ones that were released have pracitcally gone. I was told by first choice they won't be releasing any more as that would not be fair on the people that are booking now and are unable to get one. I got mine through Thomas Cook.

I'm afraid that is the case LL. They want customers to book nice and early so all ops will use FC places to tempt families to do just that.

Also, as far as TCook goes, they have more free child places on the properties in the Thomas Cook/Airtours brochures than they will have in their budget Sunset brochure. I believe they only allow 3 free kids *per flight* with Sunset, regardless of the having maybe 5 or six acomm stating Free Child places in the brochure. Once they've gone you've had it.
Also, some acomm will have free kids one year and not the next. I've recently booked 13 of us to go in 2009 on a Manos holiday that this year would have cost £6500 with free kids and next year is setting us back £8200. (8 ads, 5 ch, so would have been eligible for 4 free kids.)

thanks for all your comments looks like i need to shop around and keep checking the web. schools don't want you to take your kids out of school during term time but the price is so much cheaper than in the school holidays, what can we do. think i will give ely a call to see what they can do.

also i can't believe that first choice are still having problems with their booking system and not all info is on.

wish me luck all i'll keep you posted
