I agree with incapuppy that you will either probably pay a lot more for a flight than £150 if you go on Standby and you may not get on a flight at all. That weekend will be busy with return flights as it is the one before the kids all go back to school. Also would your holiday insurance still be valid if you did not book a return flight. I and family have had to go last minute to Ireland on occassion due to family emergencies and have had to pay high prices for seats. I would not take a chance and would either book the flights now or as flights are cheaper coming back on the Wednesday-maybe it would be cheaper to rent the villa for a few extra days and book these?
