Where’s the cheapest place to buy either Norton or Mcafee internet security?

I agree with cwp500. I've been using AVG (Anti-Virus Guard) for 5 years, never had any problem, it's regularly updated and best of all FREE!

I did have Norton until my computer got infected and Norton would fail to run. Had to use McAfee online to detect the virus. Avoid Norton like the plague.
Remember: Just cos you can buy software in a shop, doesn't mean it's better than free software.0 -
Hi there
I buy McAfee direct from their website (as a download), and as it is charged in dollars it always seem to work out cheaper, they take it out of my bank every year, I think this year it was about £20, also it it continually updating so you are always protected.0 -
I thought everyone used AVG for antivirus and SUPERAntiSpyware for spyware and trojans, as well as Spybot, Search and Destroy from Safer Netwroking and Lavasoft's Adaware. The only problem with the free antispyware programs is that you actually need to run them regularly as they don't check things automatically and you need to update them regulalry as well. These four programs have done me fine for the past 5 years.

My local WH Smith has a poster in the window just now for NIS 2008 with free Systemworks for £29.99, which it says is half the normal price.0
