Land Of Leather - Faulty Sofas

Hi there....

I wanted to get some advice on a problem I am having with my sofa set.
We have a single sofa which has a recliner function. Since day one, the recliner function has not really been effective. It pops out violently when the lever is used...but also randomly pops out on its own every now and again! (even when no one is sitting on it!!)

I have a 7 month old daughter who is starting to crawl and the last time it popped out...it was dangerously close to where she was playing. I'm really worried that there will be an injury.

I just contacted Land of Leather and told them. They said they will arrange for someone to come out and check the sofa out. I am worried that they might turn around and say that there is nothing wrong with it. If so, what are my rights? I bought the sofa 5 months ago. Should I send a formal letter (registered post) to the company explaining that I have an issue with it and it's potential danger?

I want the sofas taken away at this point coz I don't trust the quality and wouldn't want to risk this happening with any replacements they offer.
I've heard that this company are notoriously difficult to deal with.

Can anyone advise me?

Hi my sister works for them and i will ask her what is the best thing to do if you want, may not be for another couple of days though? I think a letter is aways a good thing to get things going though..let me know.
