Hi there,
I have a 2 lever bathoom lock that locks inside by turning. The door is locking fine but the lever bolt is stuck inside lock so door wont stay closed normally. I definately need to replace the lock as its been playing up from day one.
its easy to unscrew all the screws from lock and also from handle plaate on each side of door, but how do I remove the handles from the door lock. I have tried pulling but its really tight and as they are new doors I dont want to damage them?
any help greatly appreciated
thanks
tina

Are there tiny grub-screws holding the handle(s) onto the connecting spindle? Look underneath, may need an allen key to undo.0

I googled how to remove the handles when you have a privacy lock and this came up:) I just knew there would be an answer on here but googling can be faster than searches!
Now I can paint our nice new bathroom door:)0 -
Lol i too had this problem.
I realised there was a tiny screw hidden in the handle covered by the screw cap on the handles... id already bruted them off at this point.
To be honest i wouldnt bother getting new locks that have levers in, its easier to fit one of those 'engaged' bathroom bolts and theres nothing to go wrong.0
