I do this all the time...... you need a vga cable, like the one that you used to have for your desk top monitor ( if your laptop has vga out)...and the tv has a vga connector also... I couldnt figure out why I was getting no sound ....then realised I needed a cable to connect from the laptiop to the tv.... DOH!!!!!
Now I can surf on a 32" telly, watch movies and listen to music as well
I have nothing better to do!!!!

There are a few different ways this can be achieved depending on the make and model of your tv, if you want specific help some info on that would be requiredclick here to achieve nothing!0

check in your tv box cable collection u will probably just need a vga cable which is a D shaped connector containing 15pins on each end oh and check the tv manual to see what resolution its running in as this will give you the best quality (32" are usually 1360*768 but not many laptops support this so try 1280*720 if not)click here to achieve nothing!0 -

Ok back again ... sorry , def blonde day today .
The tv has the bit where you screw in the cable on each side, but the laptop doesn't ,.... does that make a difference as can only find the cables with the screws on the net ?
Thanks

Have a look on the left hand side of the laptop. I have looked at pictures on the web but I can find nothing for a VGA or DVI out for your machine. I can see that it has sound outputs on the left and another output there but I cannot get a good enough resolution to see if it is vga or not.0

don't know that machine and i hate laptops but it would make sense "not" to secure the cable to a laptop, if the cable got caught by someone passing it will just pull out, secured it would drag laptop onto floor and i'm guessing you wouldn't want thatclick here to achieve nothing!0

According to http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Samsung_R60_Plus_NP-R60FY0E-SUK/version.asp it has VGA. If it doesn't have the screw connections, simply push the VGA cable in. You will also need an audio cable as VGA doesn't carry audio. So, you will need to connect a 3.5mm phono to RCA audio cable like http://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/dynamic/eshop_products.set/ref/1288/ixos-xha205-twisted-pair-3.5mm-to-2-rca-phono-cable/display.html. The red/white connectors for this will be beside the VGA connection. Check your TV's manual.0
