I downloaded windows live to replace outlook express and everything was transferred - gmail, tiscali and Lycos mail. Although my emails and folders were there from Lycos it now says 'the sign in name you entered doesnt exist or your password is incorrect'.
I have deleted the account and re-entered all the details but nothing works. I tried the 'help' but it doesnt!
Does live mail accept http accounts and can anyone help

Do you mean your trying to sign in live mail with a lycos account because that wont work. They only support live and hotmail i think.0

No, as I said my tiscali and gmail account work perfectly, only Lycos doesnt and it seems to be because it is an http account.0

We reccomend to retrieve your emails for offline reading via Outlook (2002 or higher) or Outlook Express (6.0 or higher). This software enables you to synchronise your mailbox over a HTTP-connection.
Mandatory settings:
- Receiving mail server is a HTTP-Server
- HTTP-Mail Service: "Other"
- Address: http://wedav.lycos.co.uk/httpmail.asp
- Username: Your user-name (incl. @lycos.co.uk)
There are the settings for Lycos, do they work?0 -
No, I used to have an Outlook Express account but it will not work after June according to Microsoft so I have transferred to windows live. It would seem that the only way to get my Lycos email is to go direct.

Anyone else got any ideas - I do prefer all my different emails accounts to be downloaded automatically at the same time0

The problem is that your free account can't be used with Windows Live Mail because of the protocol it uses, you'll have to upgrade to the premium service in order to use WLM and your Lycos account..0
